 CCCI, DOST Joint Industrial Calibration Training Ignites Excellence in Local Industries




Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), recently hosted a transformative 3-day Industrial Calibration training from October 18 to 20, 2023 at the DOST Office in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.
This intensive workshop gathered 21 participants from nine different companies, spanning various professional roles such as project coordinators, calibration technicians, management system specialists, electrical and instrumentation engineers, and Quality Assurance personnel.


The training focused on equipping participants with new skills and practical problem-solving experience, emphasizing individual and group exercises. It catered to professionals in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, healthcare, and related sectors, offering in-depth insights into weight, temperature, pressure measurement, and equipment used in industrial settings to ensure quality and precision.
Engr. Robert Edra, laboratory head and quality manager of the Department of Science and Technology VII, led the training, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with the participants.





The Industrial Calibration Training is an annual event organized by CCCI, reinforcing their commitment to continuous learning and professional development. It serves as a testament to CCCI's dedication to shaping a future where expertise and excellence drive industrial growth and prosperity in Cebu.

The online celebration garnered a total of 69 member channels from all over Asia, Paris and the UK, with some guests from other parts of the world dropping by to greet members and participate in the games and festivities. Close to Php 30,000 worth of prizes were given away for the games and awarding individuals for their exemplary contribution in making the group a huge success. Earlier I got invited to watch the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem at SM Seaside City Cebu (Official) The atmosphere was exciting, everyone was looking forward to this reboot. SM Cinema had cosplayers dressed up as the Ninja Turtles and boy were they cute. Drinks were served at the foyer and a DJ played beats for movie goers. Everyone enjoyed taking photos at the photo wall, selfies with the Ninja Turtles and a photo wall that you can write on. TMNT bandanas were also given out. I had a hard time wearing them though because I have a big head, hahaha, and it was made of cardboard so I had to improvise. I was expecting the cosplayers to be a lot bigger and taller but after watching the movie, I understood that this reboot focused on the TMNT being teens in New York City.
