Local Cebuano Youtuber Group, Team Gapangan celebrated it's 3rd Yr Anniversary today. Logging in a total of 11 hours and 50 minutes to celebrate this momentous event.
The online celebration garnered a total of 69 member channels from all over Asia, Paris and the UK, with some guests from other parts of the world dropping by to greet members and participate in the games and festivities.
Close to Php 30,000 worth of prizes were given away for the games and awarding individuals for their exemplary contribution in making the group a huge success.
These prizes were raised through revenue from activity on Youtube and donations from individuals working abroad.
Team Gapangan has earned it's credibility among Youtube circles because of it's commitment to help new channels become monetized and it's focus on charity projects.
"Our aim is to help individuals find their voice and help make an impact in the community." shares Team Gapangan Founder, Harry Clint.
Most of the members are Overseas Filipino Workers, Filipinos that have migrated abroad but have kept a Youtube channel to document their new life, and various individuals, professional workers and full time Youtubers in the Philippines.
The Group began with a handful of people who grew to 50 members during the pandemic and now has a solid 200 plus online members, streaming live daily.
"I remember when there was only 16 of us recording crazy things and just hanging out online, and look at us now, we have people from France, Japan, Vietnam and Indonesia visiting our Live Streams and sharing our passion around the world." shares Team Gapangan Admin, Ian Javier.
"Youtube helps us get through a lot of things. For many people, specially Overseas Filipino Workers, this is a way to connect to their hometowns and de-stress from the many challenges they face at work." Says long time member, Nigel Philips who hails from the UK.
"We are all passionate about many things in life and if you can share your story to encourage others, if you can help one life make a difference then you are doing something right." adds Team Gapangan Member, Shellah from Paris.
"We have become this one big family that I really love." says, Belle an OFW in Hong Kong.
Team Gapangan got it's name from a joke made by early members that the aim of the group is to crawl it's way to other channels and support each other, even when you are asleep, your channel is growing because someone in another part of the world is going to crawl it.
Congratulations Team Gapangan and looking forward to more milestones and achievements.
