Globe hosted a zoom presscon for media and content creators to encourage everyone to register their sim cards before July 25, 2023.

Initially the deadline was last April 26, 2023 but was then extended to July 25 to give time for other people to register their sim cards.

Yolly Crisanto, Globe's Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer reminded everyone that this is mandated by the government under the SIM CARD REGISTRATION ACT (RA 11934), and emphasized that ever since this Republic Act was set in motion, Globe has now 47.4 million registered users.

Giviele Florida, Head of Globe Prepaid stressed the importance of registering our sim cards.

Celebrity Kiray Celis was also in the meeting and candidly shared her experience when her social media account was hacked.

Celebrity and TV personalities Kuya Kim Atienza and Gretchen Fullido was also in attendance, encouraging Globe users to register their accounts and avoid deactivation. Both Kuya Kim and Gretchen Fullido are also Globe's Ambassador for Team Globe of Good.

Dom Brucal, Globe's Head of Prepaid Strategy and Transformation shares that everyone needs to register not just their cell phone sim cards but also the sim cards in household modems, tablets and other gadgets.

Invited guests from the media and content creators were also given a chance to ask questions from the invited celebrities as well as the Globe panel of experts present during the meeting.

Globe was keen on letting everyone know that despite being the first company to launch an initiative for sim registration, this virtual meeting was going to be their last push to encourage and remind Globe users to register their sim cards.

Globe users can register via the Globe One Portal, the Globe Website and the latest addition, via the Gcash App.

Unregistered sim cards, will not be able to use the full features of the sim card, will not be able to use the GCash App and will not be able to engage in online shopping and online payment facilities.

Registration is easy, all you need is to visit the Globe One Portal, the Globe Website, or the GCash app.

Make sure to have one valid, government issued ID to verify your identity.

Remember JULY 25, 2023 is the LAST DAY to REGISTER YOUR SIM CARDS.
