Meet Renzo Sy

Cebu's multi-talented, rising star Renzo Sy launched his album "Singles for Pringles" last July 14 at the Crossroads, Banilad, Cebu City.

We got the chance to meet with this super friendly and down to earth young artist who surprisingly very tall.

He was free for a few minutes and he gladly indulged us in an impromptu interview (video to follow).




Renzo Sy was born and raised in Cebu. He is a truly homegrown artist known for his unique genre of upbeat music with a “sad boy” vibe. He debuted his first single in 2019 entitled Dress.

His musical influences include The Weekend, Clairo, and Rex Orange County.

Singles for Pringles is a story of his personal journey as he discovers and refines who he is as an artist.

“It’s okay to be single, and it’s okay to process your feelings as a single person,” Renzo Sy

The event was organized by Lila Events and featured other local bands like The Sundown, Sansette, and Kana.

Logging in a total of 11 hours and 50 minutes to celebrate this momentous event. The online celebration garnered a total of 69 member channels from all over Asia, Paris and the UK, with some guests from other parts of the world dropping by to greet members and participate in the games and festivities. Close to Php 30,000 worth of prizes were given away for the games and awarding individuals for their exemplary contribution in making the group a huge success. These prizes were raised through revenue from activity on Youtube and donations from individuals working abroad. Earlier I got invited to watch the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem at SM Seaside City Cebu (Official) The atmosphere was exciting, everyone was looking forward to this reboot. SM Cinema had cosplayers dressed up as the Ninja Turtles and boy were they cute. Drinks were served at the foyer and a DJ played beats for movie goers. Everyone enjoyed taking photos at the photo wall, selfies with the Ninja Turtles and a photo wall that you can write on. TMNT bandanas were also given out. I had a hard time wearing them though because I have a big head, hahaha, and it was made of cardboard so I had to improvise. I was expecting the cosplayers to be a lot bigger and taller but after watching the movie, I understood that this reboot focused on the TMNT being teens in New York City.
